Trainer @metta_world_hayden showing us two mobility exercises with his client @_aldo_v28 ??? ... 1) Lat Stretch:-Attach a band to a pull-up bar, or rig. A band helps but isn't necessary. If you don't have one you can simply just hold the side of the squat rack/rig. -move back into a bent over position and let the band/post pull your forward -stretch for 30-60s. 2)Prone Press Ups: -Aldo is performing the most basic version on his elbows. -Press your upper body up, thinking about bending from your mid/upper back and NOT YOUR LOWER BACK-Perform 10 reps with 3s. up, 3s. down tempo-Progress by pressing from your hands, similar to the "cobra stretch" #StretchMoreAthletics #StretchByHayden #MettaWorldRehab | © instagram.com/be_more_athletics

Trainer @metta_world_hayden teaching proper form! ?????・・・Because I've been seeing trap/hex bars everywhere: the Trap Bar Dead lift is an awesome lower body pull exercise. Why do this over the conventional deadlift? Less back extension! On the conventional deadlift, if you do not actively contract your glutes, what will take the load? YOUR LOWER BACK. The trap bar, because the weight isn't in front of you, takes a majority of the back extension out of the deadlift. Though, because of hip placement, it is more of a squat, you're still pulling weight off the ground from a dead stop, thus a deadlift. To not over complicate things.... let's call the exercise this: the trap bar pick that shit up with your legs not your back. That's what the  deadlift is supposed to teach and what makes it "functional." Here @alexisabelove uses great form, going through a short checklist in her head before each pull***************************************************1. Butt down, chest up (just like in the bottom of your squat) 2. Lock that back out (shoulder blades retracted)3. Abs tight (like you're about to take a punch from Manny Pacquiao, not mayweather cuz he still hits like a bitch, Connor was just tired he even said so check the post fight interview of just facts)4. Get rid of that lower back curve, this ain't a Beyoncé video... even tho if you do enough of these you might look like you belong in one ???????? #BeMoreAthletics #StrengthByHayden | © instagram.com/be_more_athletics

HOW TO DO A PROPER GLUTE BRIDGE WITH @yetitube and Doctor of Physical Therapy @amandalynn_pt ???.Amanda is showing all of you how to properly do a glute bridge..it's a lot more than just throwing your bumm in the air. -------------------------------THE BRIDGE : This is the most popular glute exercises for getting those booty gains ??? and for good reason. It's a good one, but only if you do them correctly.So How many of you have seen someone or even been the person who thrusts your hips wildly in to the air hoping to get maximum benefits from this exercises? Wellll you're doing it wrong. In fact what youre really doing with  all this hip thrusts is setting yourself up for injury. Aside from a gluteal exercise this is also meant to benefit your strength and core control. So let's break it down ????---------------------------------------1. Lie on your back with your feet and knees shoulder width apart, feet pointed forward.-2. Engage your CORE! Get those Abs tight, and all of them, don't leave those obliques out! This should take out any arch in your back as you lie on the floor. (Yes you need core stability to perform this exercise correctly.)-3. Tighten your glute muscles...yes I said it.. you have to tighten your abdominals and glutes AT THE SAME TIME! ?-4. As you start to lift your hips off of the ground your glutes and core stay engaged the entire time.-5. **MOST IMPORTANTLY: DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT LIFT YOUR PELVIS OFF THE FLOOR HIGHER THAN YOU CAN KEEP YOU GLUTES AND ABS ENGAGED. ?????? This is how you create pain and injury, especially to your back!!-6. Slowly lower your hips toward the ground, while your glutes and abs are still engaged. You can relax once you are back on the ground if needed.-***If your back is arching at the top or you are starting to have pain...STOP the exercise and re-read steps 1-6***-7. Once you have mastered how to do this exercise, THEN slowly start adding weight. *Too much weight and improper form is a perfect way to injury yourself! ??‍♀️??‍♂️. ------------- | © instagram.com/be_more_athletics

The winner of last months 30 Day Challenge is @asg.v!! ???????? Alexa started this challenge at the beginning of last month while working at a summer camp! She was able to not just find time but MAKE time for the workouts during her busy schedule of activities and chasing kids. She is a great example of how with hard work you can turn good to great. She lost weight over the corse of the challenge while shedding fat and building muscle! She flattened her stomach, burned the cellulite off her butt and got rid of that stubborn "bra fat" on her back. Alexa good job! Your hard work paid off and you look amazing ???
